  • German Community Specialist

    Responsibilities & Job Duties:

    • The role of the Community Manager is key within the business and provides the public face for each game. The Community Manager position provides two way feedback between the business and players, applying their detailed and specific game knowledge to acquire and retain players as well as promote the game both online and offline via forums, social networks, conferences and interviews. The Community Manager is a team player with excellent communication skills. He/she will report to the Community Management.Lead. This fulltime position is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

    • Be the ‘go to’ person for all game and game community information within the business

    • Provide detailed, specific information back into marketing and the business on community trends, reactions and expectations

    • Provide periodical reports on community reach, reaction and needs

    • Visit, manage and partake in forum discussions, both on our own forums as well as others.

    • Establish and moderate online community forums according to company policy. Coordinate & manage community forum moderators

    • Build up a network and gain the trust of key, influential guilds and players

    • Provide timely, informative and engaging commentary to potential and existing players

    • Promote the game and the business across social networks and online/offline media e.g. actively engage users through Q&A forums

    • Build and cultivate an online community of affluent users, drive players to become evangelists of the game

    • Plan and execute a community building and retention timeline

    • Suggest further areas where the game can be promoted and brand awareness increased

    • Work on special projects as assigned


    • Native German language speaker and good English communication skills

    • Neverwinter or Dungeons & Dragons experience is a strong plus

    • Previous experience in a computer gaming environment and in depth past, present and future game knowledge

    • Strong web communication skills. Blogging experience a plus.

  • German QA/Loc Specialist

    Responsibilities & Job Duties:

    • The German QA and Localization Specialist will work closely with the QA/ Loc Manager to ensure that games/ updates are fully localized in German and remain free of bugs.

    • Assuring highest level quality of German in translations to be checked

    • Individually correcting localization issues in accordance with manager

    • Identifying, researching, and entering bugs in the bug database

    • Bug regression testing

    • Creating daily reports that summarize open and closed issues

    • Compiling daily lists of general bugs, in addition to reporting any localization/text issues

    • Perform black-box testing

    • Other tasks assigned by the QA Manager


    • Excellent language skills (written and spoken) in English and German. Native German speaker mandatory.

    • 2+ years of prior QA and Localization experience

    • Personal game experience, especially in MMOs and FPS as terminology in gaming is unique

  • Linux System Engineer

    Responsibilities & Job Duties:

    • As a Linux Systems Engineer you will join a team of other system engineers to support the live operations of our “always-on” game services. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and experience in the area of system administration, hardware and software configuration, and some networking. This role may require some evening or weekend hours and is part of an on-call rotation.

    • Responsibilities & Job Duties:

    • Deploy, configure, and maintain game servers, game software, network gear, and other critical infrastructure to support games and platform services

    • Proactively work to improve supportability and stability of hardware and software services

    • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues

    • Help create reproducible processes and reduce user-related errors

    • Use and document all work in ticket tracking systems

    • Create and update documentation (design specs, project plans, proposals, wiki entries)

    • Be available as part of a scheduled weekly on-call rotation

    • Travel to datacenters to rack and cable servers and other hardware, provide hardware maintenance (replace failed components, etc.), and troubleshoot problems

    • B.S. degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent work experience)

    • 5+ years of experience in IT-related hardware and software support/administration

    • 1+ year of experience in datacenter operations or support

    • Strong system administration skills using Linux (RHEL/CentOS, FreeBSD)

    • Previous experience working in a large-scale server administration or datacenter support role

  • Senior Accountant

    Responsibilities & Job Duties:

    • This is an excellent opportunity to work in the European Office of Perfect World: a global game developer and publisher. You will work with a small (finance) team with an international scope. The culture is informal, multicultural, hardworking and cooperative.

    • The overall responsibilities of the accountant position include AP, AR, GL, journal entries, cross-charge, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, account analysis, as well as compliance documentation.

    • • Manage the daily process of AP, AR Bank, contracts and employee expenses with the help of a finance specialist.

    • • Perform month-end close procedures.

    • • Prepare assigned account reconciliations and analysis

    • • Assist with fixed asset management.

    • • Processing the journal entries related to month-end close, reconciling General Ledger accounts

  • QA Lead

    Responsibilities & Job Duties:

    • The QA Lead closely works with operations to ensure that given QA projects are conducted in a timely and quality manner. Project tasks include evaluation, preparation, QA, delivery and supervision of the project files to ensure that a project is delivered under the deadlines set. In addition, the QA Lead manages the daily activities of the QA team which include team member performances tracking, resources planning; task allocation, process streamlining and setting up quality control points to ensure quality standards are preserved.

    • Responsible for testing the functionality of the games and the websites of the platform

    • Prepare/coordinate project deliverables for QA, delegate and track progress.

    • Track and ensure that projects are completed on time and inform management when red flags need to be raised for completion.

    • Prepare, document and enforce processes, checklists and tools to ensure high level of quality is maintained throughout the projects.

    • Provide input to the QA Manager on team member performance as well as administrative issues (workload, training needs)

    • The Customer Service/ Billing Representative (CSR) is the first line of defense in ensuring the satisfaction of the user base. The position is composed of two main duties: customer service, which is composed of general inquiries, technical support, and billing issues. This CSR assumes the role of problem solver when handling customer emails and player feedback via game forums.

    • Your other responsibility will be Quality Assurance: you’ll be the first to see all the game and website updates and ensure the flawless user experience in PerfectWorld’s products. You should know where to expect and how to report bugs, run tests on regular basis and track fixing.
